RGS 07 U17 relay web.pngAt the recent Worcester & District Under 17 Athletics Championships RGS Worcester achieved a convincing win over six local senior schools. They won the Championship with a marvellous 161 points, beating nearest rival Christopher Whitehead by 93 points.

The only other independent school in the competition, King’s, managed 28 points to bring them in at 5th place.

This was a particularly pleasing win for RGS as many of their students were only in Year 10 yet were competing against pupils from Year 11. Catherine Dowty, 15, won the Shot, Peter Stovanovic,14, the Long Jump and Steve Ndumbe, 15 on the day, the Triple Jump. RGS student Nat McDonald was victorious in both the Shot and Discus, Ben Davis in the 200m and the 4 x 100m Relay team also won.
