Smiles All Around For St. Clare’s Pupils

Another outstanding year for GCSE results gave cause for celebrations at St. Clare’s School today; hard on the heels of last week’s A-Level successes. An outstanding 100% of Year 11 students were awarded 5 or more A* – C GCSE’s. The overall pass rate at A* / A was a highly commendable 62%.
In Year 10 twenty eight students received A* or A grades for their Biology, Chemistry and Physics modules and their Business and Communications GCSE final examination.
This year’s top-scoring GCSE students include Alexandra Dunlop with a fantastic 11 A*’s and Aneela Khaliq with 10 A*’s. Rhodri Martin and Gayaneh Shahbazian achieved 9 A*’s and 1 A; Joseph Whittle 8 A*’s and 2 A’s; Omer Khan 7A*’s and 3 A’s; Sofia Tadecicco 6 A*’s and 4 A’s; Alice Kinder 2 A*’s and 8 A’s; Michael Stuttaford 4 A*’s and 7 A’s; Brett Davies 4 A*’s and 6 A’s; Julia Malec 6 A*’s and 2 A’s; Christian Wallis 6A*’s, 2 A’s and 2 B’s; Beth Harding 1 A*, 6 A’s and 3 B’s.
Head Teacher, Catherine Barnard, commented, “Congratulations to all the pupils who worked so hard for these exams and to staff and parents for all their effort and support. As a non-selective school we are committed to providing an excellent all-round education to all our students and to offer a broad and flexible curriculum. We now look forward to continuing to support and guide our Year 11 students in their ambitions as they progress into the Sixth Form in September. ”
