St Clare’s success in Engineering Week competition

A group of our Year 9 pupils (Elliott, Simmi, Cian, Emily, Thomas, Katy and Ffion) recently won the Engineering Week Wales competition held by Bridgend College – additionally they were congratulated on their impeccable behaviour, enthusiasm and interaction in the competition day itself! The competition involved teamwork and problem solving to design and build a toy car with a motor capable of: moving up a hill; across rough terrain; and taking part in a speed test. Pupils picked up a cheque for the school at a special buffet lunch at Bridgend College on February 12th.
