Kilgraston Senior Pupils Perform “My Fair Lady”

Music by Frederick Loewe and lyrics Alan Jay Lerner
When the Senior Girls approached the Music and Drama staff at the end of the
Summer Term last year in an over-excited state about their notion to perform Frederick Loewe’s and Alan Jay Lerner’s West End hit Musical, “My Fair Lady” for the school annual production, the staff did their best to go through a reality check. But the girls would have none of it!
Scores were ordered, cast lists drawn up and rehearsals began in full swing in October of last year. Breaks for holidays and exams were the only deterrent for getting the show on to the boards at Kilgraston.
The cast’s enthusiastic approach has rendered them often hoarse and sometimes sporting limps; however, they have made it to the production week kitted out in their best bib and tuckers to full houses.
