Salter’s Festival of Chemistry Winners

On Wednesday May 13th a team of lower four girls represented the school at the annual Salter’s Festival of Chemistry: Zayneb Fahroud L4W, Aylie Scanlon L4W, Sophie Wallace L4L, Kathryn Evans L4L.

The event was held at Southbank University in London. In previous years our teams have done well in the practical challenges and this team was no exception. In fact they surpassed all previous efforts by gaining ‘Highly Commended’ in the Salter’s Challenge and a coveted first prize in the University’s Calllenge.

The latter required great precision and attention to detail coupled with the ability to think on their feet and work quickly. In all aspects our team was superb and worthy winners.
