Bromsgrove School has just registered its best ever GCSE results.

September 2, 2009 on 1:01 pm | In 2009 GCSE results, Worcestershire

Over 60% of the 1200 GCSE and AS examinations sat by Fifth Formers were achieved at A* and A, while numerous individuals achieved nine or ten GCSEs at A* and A. Among this latter group is Will Packwood, an American boarder currently on Birmingham City’s books. 97% of all GCSEs fell within the A to C bracket. Headmaster Chris Edwards said:

“Many Fifth Formers took AS levels and the challenging IGCSEs alongside the traditional GCSEs, so registering our best ever performance this year is especially gratifying. As ever, we do not offer soft subjects: English, Maths, the Sciences and at least one foreign language form the core of almost every pupil’s curriculum. Pupils and staff should be very proud.”
