On Tuesday 6th October, 17 Bedford Modern School Politics students attended the “Nick Clegg meets … Bedford” Question and Answer session at the Harpur Suite in the town.
Nick Clegg was there to support their Mayoral candidate and to answer questions from the 100 strong audience. Bedford Modern School students asked questions about child poverty, electoral reform and the position of the party towards independent schools. Nick Clegg then spent some time with the students after the public meeting answering more questions about Lib Dem plans for the forthcoming election.
Stuart Baker, Head of Politics at BMS said, “We have been fortunate to see two of the three main party leaders in a month. It has been a great start to the academic year for Politics students at BMS.”
