BBC ACTRESS RETURNS TO BROMSGROVE SCHOOL

July 5, 2010 on 2:44 pm | In Worcestershire

A BBC actress returned to her old school in Bromsgrove on Tuesday (29th June).

Charlie Clemmow, who left Bromsgrove School in 2004, is currently starring in the BBC One daytime show ‘Doctors’. Charlie, now 23, spoke to current pupils about drama school, her time on the show and her acting ambitions. Eager pupils posed interesting questions and many of Charlie’s former teachers were also keen to hear what she had been up to since leaving the School.

Charlie was recently nominated for a British Soap Award and stole the show in a Julien Macdonald dress but many Bromsgrovians remember how it all started: in Routh Hall at Bromsgrove School on stage as the Lion from Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.

Mr Philip Bowen, Deputy Headmaster, says “We are extremely grateful to Charlie for taking time out of her busy filming schedule to revisit her old School and spend time with current pupils sharing her experiences and answering questions about acting on television. We have fond memories of her performances at School. We are very proud of Charlie and will follow her career with keen interest in the years to come”.
