KING’S BRUTON SCHOOL WELCOMES BACK SUCCESSFUL ALUMNI

July 5, 2010 on 2:51 pm | In Somerset

On Monday 21st June, King’s School, Bruton held its annual careers convention. Alumni, parents and friends and many from leading blue chip companies such as Credit Suisse and JP Morgan, national firms such as von Essen Hotels and the charity Walk the Walk, as well as notable area businesses like Knight Frank, Earlcoate Construction and Wessex Grain, came back to Bruton to give seminars and careers advice to over 80 members of the School’s Lower Sixth Form just ahead of them making their applications to university. Students gained valuable insights into a wide range of professions including law, medicine, business management, teaching and engineering. Critical to the success of the event was the low average age of the seminar leaders: the School’s students found it all the easier to ask searching questions and explore their interests in particular professions further. All the speakers provided the Sixth Form with their email addresses and telephone numbers and have committed to providing them with on-going support.
